Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Umberto Freire started the match with the kick off. Claudinho Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Brasil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilvan Simões's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Oséas de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Brasil having to interfere. If Umberto Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Gilvan Simões had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anselmo Brasil. Davinopolis EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilvan Simões was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Anselmo Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas de Souza in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Gilvan Simões notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Davinopolis EC's Anselmo Brasil. Anselmo Brasil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oséas de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes, Genílson Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Davinopolis EC and the Montese AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Davinopolis EC's Genílson Moreira got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Júlio Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Zé Pedro Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Pedro Macedo's late challenge caught a Montese AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Pedro Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Montese AD booed when Davinopolis EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oséas de Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Gilvan Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute Umberto Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Miguel Bittencourt put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Claudinho Silveira. When Miguel Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Davinopolis EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. After 71 minutes, Cauan Favoretto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montese AD and the Davinopolis EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miguel Bittencourt might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho Silveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Bittencourt ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Freire in the 73rd minute of play forced Montese AD's goalkeeper Claudinho Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Montese AD's zone, Umberto Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Silveira came out of the goal and Umberto Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Silveira having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Davinopolis EC's Umberto Freire nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinho Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Montese AD's Sandrinho Nascimento got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Montese AD's Claudinho Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Bittencourt in the 89th minute of play. Claudinho Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Davinopolis EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Montese AD for a fine match.
