Zé Paulo Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genílson Netto's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the game, one of Republica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Cipo SC a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marcinho Lucas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Republica's Zé Paulo Torres. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezequiel Oliveira in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Paulo Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Paulo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cipo SC's goalkeeper Paulão Massa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Genílson Netto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Paulo Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedito Neiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Manoel Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Republica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cipo SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cipo SC.
