The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hílton Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Bittencourt having to interfere. If Aloísio Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernesto Amorim was the one to do the kick off. After 75 played minutes Capipi SS got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Neiva. Cláudio Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Capipi SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Penha in the 80th minute of play forced Real Ferraz C.F.'s goalkeeper Gino de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Ferraz C.F.'s Dagoberto de Castro got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ernesto Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cláudio Antunes sped through Real Ferraz C.F.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gino de Souza.
