Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nico Lopez started the match with the kick off. Nico Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Peres having to interfere. In the 6th minute Nico Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 played minutes Passarinhos SS got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Capixaba. After having played for 12 minutes, Nico Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabira SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Adilson Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 23 played minutes Passarinhos SS got a freekick which was hit by Edu Marinho. 28 minutes into the match, Passarinhos SS's Adilson Massa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Adilson Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Matorin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but José Pedro Peres made a huge save. Tabira SC's Augusto Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Massa in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeca Urbano was the one to do the kick off. If Adilson Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute Zeca Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Tabira SC's goalkeeper Augusto Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adilson Massa. After a defensive mix-up in Tabira SC's zone, Adilson Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Mendonça came out of the goal and Adilson Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Zeca Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Passarinhos SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeca Urbano couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Adilson Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Passarinhos SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Adilson Massa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Augusto Mendonça made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adilson Massa in the 75th minute. Paulo José Cearense charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo José Cearense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zeca Urbano struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Augusto Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Passarinhos SS. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adilson Massa got free with Augusto Mendonça in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Tabira SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adilson Massa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narciso Cosme during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tabira SC booed when Passarinhos SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adilson Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Augusto Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Passarinhos SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
