Agostinho Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Romero scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Agostinho Pinheiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabriel Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Kauã Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipeuna AD. Kauã Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luís Paraíba's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 27 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Godoi. Flamengo's André Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ipeuna AD's Agostinho Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Urbano in the 33rd minute of play. Cristian Souto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kauã Vaz. Flamengo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. André Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Agostinho Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Flamengo booed when Ipeuna AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Luís Paraíba was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ipeuna AD booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Pirani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kauã Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Kauã Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Paraíba in the 57th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Pedro Luís Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Flamengo's Kauã Vaz got control of the ball when Gabriel Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agostinho Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Romero in the 73rd minute of the match. Kauã Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luís Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Flamengo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Marcos Pirani walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Gabriel Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodolfo Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ipeuna AD's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Flamengo had won, even though Ipeuna AD had held more of the ball.
