An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Macedo in the 10th minute of play forced Arumanduba EC's goalkeeper Walmir de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arumanduba EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diamantino Baptista in the 13th minute. A nice corner shot did that Diamantino Baptista got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavinho de Mendonça quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Arumanduba EC's Vito Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Vento Aragano F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Tepedino came free, but Flavinho de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vento Aragano F.C's Flavinho de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Tepedino in the 91st minute of play. When Evaristo Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Arumanduba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Tróia couldn't finish the play.
