Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vito Tepedino started the match with the kick off. Valdir Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Walmir de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Zilles charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusébio Zilles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, Arumanduba EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Zilles to maneuver through the defense. Walmir de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Sousa in the 8th minute of play. Fábio Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir de Toledo having to interfere. When Araçá F.C's Fábio Sousa in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arumanduba EC's goalie prevented a goal. After 15 minutes of play Arumanduba EC's Eusébio Zilles was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Arumanduba EC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Eusébio Zilles hit a great ball. Walmir de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fábio Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Walmir de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fábio Sousa went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Evaristo Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Arumanduba EC defense, Fábio Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walmir de Toledo. The Arumanduba EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walmir de Toledo should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Sousa in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walmir de Toledo saved Arumanduba EC from getting behind. Tiago Gabriel da Cunha's late challenge caught a Araçá F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Gabriel da Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Arumanduba EC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel da Cunha. Walmir de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Paulista having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fábio Sousa to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Sousa in the 57th minute of play forced Arumanduba EC's goalkeeper Walmir de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Guilherme Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Tróia in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Fábio Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Valdir Pimenta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Walmir de Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 73 minutes, Evaristo Tróia made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Araçá F.C's Luiz Guilherme Paulista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Arumanduba EC's zone, Tadeu Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir de Toledo came out of the goal and Tadeu Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arumanduba EC's Walmir de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Sousa in the 90th minute of play. Tadeu Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Walmir de Toledo made a huge save.
