It was beautiful to see Nacional FC's Luiz Recife in action when he in the 48th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After the first half Ubatiba SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ludomil Mierzwa to strike the kick off in the second half. Hugo Vergílio lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Nacional FC booed when Ubatiba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludomil Mierzwa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, Ludomil Mierzwa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ubatiba SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludomil Mierzwa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 minutes, Ludomil Mierzwa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ubatiba SC and the Nacional FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Ludomil Mierzwa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charalambos Goumas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlos Fernando Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludomil Mierzwa in the 75th minute of play.
