After a rather tough play, ABANDONADO's Didi de Sousa got a free kick in the 4th minute. Betinho Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Meirelles in the 14th minute of play. Joel Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Betinho Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Alagoano having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, ABANDONADO's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Cerezo came free, but Betinho Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kraken EC's Hermínio Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Neves in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Didi de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38thth minute of the game Fábio Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ABANDONADO's Betinho Alagoano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to ABANDONADO getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Hernani Peixoto hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Meirelles in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Betinho Alagoano saved ABANDONADO from getting behind. The supporters of Kraken EC booed when ABANDONADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fábio Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arí Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliseu Meirelles's late challenge caught a ABANDONADO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu Meirelles helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ABANDONADO booed when Kraken EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. ABANDONADO's players were relieved. After having played for 92 minutes, Fábio Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kraken EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fábio Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Despite being the better team, Kraken EC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
