Pacatiba SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Paulista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Rafinha Simão was extremely unlucky when he, in the 12th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. André Luiz Favoretto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Luiz Favoretto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafinha Simão in the 27th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafinha Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Itapinima AD's André Luiz Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Simão in the 55th minute of play. Kléberson Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luiz Favoretto having to interfere. Rafinha Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. André Luiz Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Pacatiba SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Itapinima AD getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Edmundo Quirino hit a great ball. Basílio Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Enéas de Lara made a huge save. Enéas de Lara made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Basílio Galvão sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Pacatiba SS lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
