The crowd rose to their feet as Leonardo Alcântara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Enéas de Lara. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Xixebal FC's Cléberson Brodel got a free kick in the 15th minute. Rafinha Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pacatiba SS's Rafinha Simão in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Xixebal FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Xixebal FC booed when Pacatiba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fábio de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonardo Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafinha Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Proença having to interfere. Elias Vasconcelos charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Vasconcelos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elias Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Natã Linhares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enéas de Lara having to make a save. Enéas de Lara stood somewhat misplaced when Natã Linhares came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 38 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Alcântara in the 48th minute of play forced Pacatiba SS's goalkeeper Enéas de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafinha Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugênio de Senna during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Xixebal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio de Senna to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Eugênio de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Pacatiba SS were awarded a corner. Zézinho de Queirós went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Pacatiba SS's corner Zézinho de Queirós fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nuno Proença quite easily take care of the ball. Natã Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas de Lara having to interfere. Pacatiba SS's Enéas de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Alcântara in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Kléberson Alvarenga fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Xixebal FC's Natã Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Pacatiba SS got a freekick which was hit by William Batista. After 77 played minutes, Xixebal FC's Enéas Mello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enéas de Lara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Xixebal FC reached it. Enéas de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kléberson Alvarenga got free with Nuno Proença in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xixebal FC's Natã Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88thth minute of the game Leonardo Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pacatiba SS's Enéas de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Natã Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas de Lara having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Pacatiba SS's Kléberson Alvarenga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xixebal FC's goalkeeper Nuno Proença, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Natã Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enéas de Lara was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Xixebal FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
