After 4 minutes of play, Ferroviária FC's Fellipe Correia made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remo Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gino Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Fellipe Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cipriano Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiliam Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cipriano Negri during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ferroviária FC booed when BANDEIRA BRANCA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. BANDEIRA BRANCA FC's Wiliam Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Fonseca's late challenge caught a Ferroviária FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antônio Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. Antônio Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When BANDEIRA BRANCA FC's Wiliam Freire in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ferroviária FC's goalie prevented a goal. 33 minutes into the match, Ferroviária FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Macedo came free, but Gino Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gino Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Cipriano Negri struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Gino Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BANDEIRA BRANCA FC. Gino Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Cipriano Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gino Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valério França made a kick off. A collision led to Ferroviária FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Fellipe Correia hit a great ball. Antônio Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Gino Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 60 minutes of play BANDEIRA BRANCA FC's Cipriano Negri was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 60th match minute, BANDEIRA BRANCA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Negri to maneuver through the defense. When Wiliam Freire, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 65 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gino Dantas was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Valério França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Remo Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jailson Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Toninho Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Wiliam Freire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gino Dantas. Ferroviária FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wiliam Freire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. If Wiliam Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wiliam Freire in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gino Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gino Dantas made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Wiliam Freire sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Wiliam Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. BANDEIRA BRANCA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiliam Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. BANDEIRA BRANCA FC played a much better game than Ferroviária FC and deserved their victory. The Ferroviária FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
