The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of São Vicente FC booed when Pejucara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mateus de Lara sped through Pejucara SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adolfo Brodel. Cesinha Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Brodel having to interfere. Kauã Oliveira made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by São Vicente FC's Luís Eduardo Medeiros. Baltazar Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Mesquita having to interfere. Roberto Porto charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roberto Porto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Roberto Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian Souto struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Dráuzio Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pejucara SS. Mateus de Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Brodel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateus de Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mateus de Lara in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Brodel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baltazar Schmidt succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 29th playminute. Dráuzio Mesquita made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Ian Souto sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Pejucara SS's zone, Romeu Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Brodel came out of the goal and Romeu Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the São Vicente FC defense, Ian Souto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráuzio Mesquita. The São Vicente FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráuzio Mesquita should have stopped the shot. Cafu Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Romeu Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateus de Lara was the one to do the kick off. When São Vicente FC's Mateus de Lara in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Adolfo Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes in the game, Mateus de Lara fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adolfo Brodel having to interfere. São Vicente FC's Dráuzio Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Souto in the 74th minute of play. Kauã Oliveira's late challenge caught a São Vicente FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauã Oliveira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th match minute, Pejucara SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Luís Eduardo Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateus de Lara in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adolfo Brodel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When São Vicente FC's Mateus de Lara in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pejucara SS's goalie prevented a goal. If Dênis Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. São Vicente FC's Dráuzio Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Souto in the 91st minute of play.
