Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Theobroma's Ademar Faria started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Barral in the 3rd minute of play forced Parau EC's goalkeeper Igor Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Theobroma's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Mineiro came free, but Samuel Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Ademar Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 played minutes Parau EC got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Loureiro. After 13 played minutes Parau EC got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Rosado. In the 13th minute, Amílton Bittencourt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Parau EC's Igor Pontes didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Parau EC's Tomé Dias got a free kick in the 17th minute. Igor Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gino Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Igor Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Parau EC's Igor Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Faria in the 26th minute of play. Marcel Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Samuel Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Parau EC got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Rosado. In the 32nd minute of the match Amílton Bittencourt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Igor Pontes skillfully saved the ball. Igor Pontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gernando Barral in the 37th minute. Gino Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Pontes having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Parau EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Domingues to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ademar Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Theobroma's supporters rose to their feet, but Ademar Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Mineiro was the one to do the kick off. 65 minutes into the match, Theobroma's goalkeeper Samuel Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Correia. Gernando Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Gernando Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Theobroma's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Mineiro in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Mineiro in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Silva saved Theobroma from getting behind. Abelardo Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Samuel Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Gernando Barral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Pontes. Parau EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gernando Barral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of Parau EC booed when Theobroma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Parau EC's Abelardo Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Délio Guerra charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Délio Guerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcel Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theobroma were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Parau EC for a fine match.
