Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ademar Faria started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Barral in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Gernando Barral came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Theobroma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gernando Barral couldn't finish the play. When Gino Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Theobroma's protests and gave Gino Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Theobroma getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Gino Saraiva hit a great ball. Jerônimo Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Samuel Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Theobroma's goalkeeper Samuel Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Márcio Matorin during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Márcio Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Luiz Fabiano Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Antônio Carlos Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 played minutes Theobroma got a freekick which was hit by Gino Saraiva. A collision led to Theobroma getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gino Saraiva hit a great ball. In the 29th minute of the match Denílson Arruda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Silva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cura SS's Luiz Fabiano Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Luiz Fabiano Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jerônimo Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Samuel Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Jerônimo Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gino Saraiva got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Cura SS booed when Theobroma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Luiz Fabiano Cordeiro made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fabiano Cordeiro in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Silva saved Theobroma from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Theobroma's zone, Jerônimo Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Silva came out of the goal and Jerônimo Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Jerônimo Leme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Theobroma's Samuel Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuel Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Fabiano Cordeiro went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Mauro Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Cura SS's Mauro Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Gernando Barral tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 73rd play minutes Jerônimo Leme shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Samuel Silva and just under the crossbar into goal. Samuel Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Cura SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gernando Barral fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gernando Barral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Mauro Vasconcelos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Gernando Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Theobroma players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cura SS.
