Cícero Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Fabrício Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Rodrigo Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Pimenta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabrício Jacinto having to make a save. Rodrigo Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Jacinto having to interfere. CHAPECÓ FC's Fabrício Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Breckenfeld in the 18th minute of play. Dino Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Sidnei Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvenal Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Dino Velasco fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sidnei Silva, passed just outside the right post. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Cícero Breckenfeld put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fabrício Jacinto. After having played for 44 minutes, Juvenal Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CHAPECÓ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Velasco in the 46th minute of play forced Toriba FC's goalkeeper Sidnei Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cícero Breckenfeld made a kick off. Júlio Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sidnei Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, CHAPECÓ FC's goalkeeper Fabrício Jacinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cícero Breckenfeld. Cícero Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidnei Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Velasco in the 70th minute of play. Cícero Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Fabrício Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabrício Jacinto came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Toriba FC's Cícero Breckenfeld. But to his dismay, Cícero Breckenfeld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Dino Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Silva having to interfere. Sidnei Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Velasco in the 91st minute of the match.
