Válbson Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Travessia's Pedro Luís Trancoso got a free kick in the 7th minute. Gugu Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Luiz Pena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Amadeu Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto Leme struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Dorival Lira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Associação de Terra Boa. In the 30thth minute of the game Gugu Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Associação de Terra Boa's André Luiz Pena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. André Luiz Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Montenegro in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, Travessia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Recife to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Travessia's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Vander came free, but Dorival Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Norberto Leme came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Associação de Terra Boa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Leme couldn't finish the play. Dorival Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Válbson Vander showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Dadá Aguiar's late challenge caught a Travessia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dadá Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. Dadá Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Dorival Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Leme in the 97th minute of the match.
