The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Associação de Terra Boa. André Luiz Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Norberto Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário de Andrade having to interfere. With a little luck, Associação de Terra Boa's André Luiz Pena got control of the ball when Antônio Carlos Magalhães tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Válbson Vander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mário de Andrade. If Vicente Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Associação de Terra Boa's André Luiz Pena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Associação de Terra Boa from getting a goal against them.
