Sandrinho de Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sandrinho de Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lalima EC made a substitution. Emílio Silva replaced Nando Vergílio. Sandrinho de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Lalima EC fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Lalima EC's Doriva de Queirós looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th minute, William Lima made a precise shot to the right of Remo de Lara. Lalima EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Doriva de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doriva de Queirós in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan de Alcântara saved Macucu from getting behind. Renan de Alcântara didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Lalima EC's Doriva de Queirós shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 45th minute, Emílio Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lalima EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doriva de Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Macucu defense, Carlos Augusto Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renan de Alcântara. The Macucu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renan de Alcântara should have stopped the shot. After 54 played minutes Lalima EC got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Barreto. With a little luck, Macucu's Renan de Alcântara got control of the ball when Emílio Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Leonel de Salles collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Lalima EC made a substitution. Beto Arantes replaced Leonel de Salles. The supporters of Lalima EC booed when Macucu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doriva de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Neves hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 75th minute, when Lalima EC's Emílio Silva after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Renan de Alcântara in Macucu's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Moreno got free with Renan de Alcântara in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the game, Edmundo Barreto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lalima EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macucu the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Lalima EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Barreto to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Lalima EC's Doriva de Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renan de Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Renan de Alcântara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Augusto Velasco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 85 minute of play. Lalima EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renan de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doriva de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Carlos Augusto Velascos short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Renan de Alcântara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
