The supporters of São Gabriel E.C. booed when Madridista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes Madridista FC got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Prata. Durval Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When São Gabriel E.C.'s Luizinho Galvão, in the 21st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durval Jacinto during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes São Gabriel E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Durval Jacinto. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Zézinho Prata charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zézinho Prata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zézinho Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. São Gabriel E.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
