After a rather tough play, Itaipu's Cauã Oliveira got a free kick in the 4th minute. André Luiz Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Ronaldinho Araújo made a huge save. Rodrigo Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Itaipu's Rodrigo Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Itaipu's Ronaldinho Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Palmeira in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Luiz Fábio Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FeijoFlu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itaipu the free kick. The supporters of Itaipu booed when FeijoFlu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Oliveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ruy Quirino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The FeijoFlu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Itaipu were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Oliveira made a kick off. Ruy Quirino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murilo Freire in the 56th minute. If Rodrigo Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodrigo Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd match minute, Itaipu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Castro to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FeijoFlu booed when Itaipu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Ruy Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaipu. Ronaldinho Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Martins in the 95th minute of play. The FeijoFlu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Itaipu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
