André Luiz Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FeijoFlu! The goalkeeper, Ruy Quirino, was totally fooled by Zarzuela's Célio Medeiros, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 16 minutes into the game, Zarzuela's Luiz Fernando Novaes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruy Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Tiago Cavalcante kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruy Quirino. That made the score 3-0 in the 20 minute of play. FeijoFlu's Ruy Quirino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save FeijoFlu from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute, Pedro Augusto Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute Tiago Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zarzuela's Tiago Cavalcante in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FeijoFlu's goalie prevented a goal. If Luiz Fernando Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FeijoFlu's zone, Tiago Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Quirino came out of the goal and Tiago Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Tiago Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FeijoFlu's Ruy Quirino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nelson Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st match minute, FeijoFlu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Pombal to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cristiano Palmeira hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Tiago Cavalcante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruy Quirino having to make a save. After having played for 59 minutes, Luiz Fernando Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zarzuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fernando Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiago Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Ruy Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zarzuela. 66 minutes into the game, Zarzuela's Luiz Fernando Novaes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruy Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After 73 minutes, Luiz Fernando Novaes made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. FeijoFlu's Ruy Quirino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiago Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ruy Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Tiago Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Tiago Cavalcante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruy Quirino. FeijoFlu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiago Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Ruy Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Zarzuela's Luiz Fernando Novaes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruy Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zarzuela had played much better football throughout.
