After 45 minutes, Donato Barreto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candumba and the Barrenta SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raí Faria was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Barrenta SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 49 minutes, Oséas Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raí Faria made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ademar Vianna during the 55th minute.
