True Hawks's Dênis de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 20 minutes of play, Scorpion EC's Rômulo Mineiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aloísio Campidelis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rômulo Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Aloísio Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aloísio Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléber Sergipano in the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Scorpion EC's zone, Dênis de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evandro Romero came out of the goal and Dênis de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Emanuel Miranda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evandro Romero. Scorpion EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Miranda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. A hard shot 48 in the game by Emanuel Miranda from a close distance when the talented Evandro Romero managed to make a qualified save. Scorpion EC's players were relieved. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Tales Vander's late challenge caught a Scorpion EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tales Vander helped the player get up and apologised. Tales Vander hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Rômulo Mineiro took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Aloísio Campidelis to make any attempt to save it. Cléber Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Campidelis having to interfere. Evandro Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Evandro Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Miranda in the 81st minute of play. Rômulo Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aloísio Campidelis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rômulo Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Dênis de Alcântara took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evandro Romero. Evandro Romero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. True Hawks had won after a very even match.
