Marcus Vidal in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Perivaldo Tavares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 7th minute, Hílton Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernardo Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Tavares having to interfere. If João Carlos Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Bernardo Moura recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Perivaldo Tavares. Bernardo Moura showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The Bonde da Stela FC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Bonde da Stela FC's Gualter Donato looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Perivaldo Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Vidal's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The throw-in from Fellipe Neiva in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Altair FC's Hílton Barreto.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gualter Donato was the one to do the kick off. Nilson Quaresma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diguinho Penha in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Diguinho Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bonde da Stela FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Perivaldo Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bonde da Stela FC's Perivaldo Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Vidal in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Altair FC booed when Bonde da Stela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-3 became the score in the 69th minute when Gualter Donato elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Gualter Donato put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Nilson Quaresma. Antônio Carlos Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Bernardo Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Tavares having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Zanette hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Bonde da Stela FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
