Ezequiel's Nuno Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Pombal in the 11th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Nuno Xavier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ezequiel's Nuno Xavier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Ezequiel from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Time do C's Adelino Barros got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Luiz Fernando Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ezequiel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fernando Botelho couldn't finish the play. Inácio Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Matorin having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Time do C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Gerber to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th match minute, Ezequiel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Vicente da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Nuno Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rdth minute of the game Silvinho Pombal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ezequiel's Nuno Xavier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente da Costa got free with Nuno Xavier in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the game, Régis Diniz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Time do C's Adelino Barros quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.

If Régis Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Cunha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Didi Matorin came out and tried to block the shot, but Inácio Cunha slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 56th minute. Silvinho Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Xavier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvinho Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Silvinho Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Xavier was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Nuno Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Pombal in the 69th minute of play. Didi Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Cunha in the 72nd minute of the match. Luizão Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Inácio Cunha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Didi Matorin. That made the score 0-2 in the 78 minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Ezequiel's goal looked a bit too open when Silvinho Pombal came free, but Nuno Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Cunha in the 86th minute of play forced Time do C's goalkeeper Didi Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Luizão Diniz fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Time do C's protests and gave Luizão Diniz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Time do C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão Diniz to maneuver through the defense. After 92 minutes, Vicente da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Time do C and the Ezequiel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vicente da Costa hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvinho Pombal in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Xavier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle went the supporters of Ezequiel were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Time do C side.
