In the 11th minute Filipe Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Filipe Tinoco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Xavier. Ezequiel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filipe Tinoco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 18 minutes of play, Suspiro's Alfredão Ceresso made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Xavier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nuno Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Luís Cordeiro hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Régis Diniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Cavalcante's late challenge caught a Suspiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Régis Diniz was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Inácio Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, José Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
