Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Invernada's Frank Marquez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Invernada getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jano Carvalho hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Maguari FC's Ricardo Prata in action when he in the 6th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Paulo de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Edson Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Invernada's Betinho de Almeida got a free kick in the 13th minute. A collision led to Maguari FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Lenílson da Cunha hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Guedes in the 17th minute of play forced Invernada's goalkeeper Paulo de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Lenílson da Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo de Sena. Invernada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lenílson da Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Albertinho Negri notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Invernada's Paulo de Sena. Paulo de Sena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute, one of Invernada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Invernada. The referee gave Maguari FC a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ricardo Prata, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Invernada's Paulo de Sena. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Maguari FC's Luís Fabiano Gonçalves got a free kick in the 31st minute. Paulo de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Guedes in the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Jano Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Invernada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maguari FC the free kick. Jano Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Lenílson da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maguari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lenílson da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nilson Toledo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Toledo in the 45th minute of play forced Maguari FC's goalkeeper Natanael Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lenílson da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Paulo de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Invernada's Paulo de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Gonçalves in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edson Guedes to make the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Invernada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Valério Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Edson Guedes struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Paulo de Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maguari FC. Frank Marquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natanael Neto having to make a save. 68 minutes into the match, Maguari FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Marquez came free, but Natanael Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Negri in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Maguari FC booed when Invernada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, Invernada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Paulo de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Guedes in the 82nd minute of play. Daniel Barreto hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Paulo de Sena successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 86 minutes, Daniel Barreto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Invernada and the Maguari FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Lenílson da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maguari FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenílson da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valério Falcão's late challenge caught a Maguari FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valério Falcão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, Invernada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Falcão to maneuver through the defense. Bebeto Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Marquez in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natanael Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
