Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Amílton Cosme started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Pedro Gaspar hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After having played for 4 minutes, David Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lewishamilton's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rômulo Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rômulo Ribeiro hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Piauí Esporte Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lewishamilton:s goal. Osvaldo Fernandez went to the wrong direction when Hortêncio Sarmento was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Osvaldo Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rômulo Ribeiro went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When David Prata came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Lewishamilton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Prata couldn't finish the play. If Rômulo Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Elias Motta fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piauí Esporte Clube's protests and gave Elias Motta a yellow card for diving instead. 38 minutes into the match, Piauí Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Osvaldo Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rômulo Ribeiro. Rômulo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute David Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Osvaldo Fernandez managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Lewishamilton's Rômulo Ribeiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rômulo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Osvaldo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Lewishamilton's David Prata managed to work through Piauí Esporte Clube's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. David Prata dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Ribeiro in the 57th minute of play forced Piauí Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Osvaldo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Osvaldo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Fernandez came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lewishamilton's David Prata. But to his dismay, David Prata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When David Prata came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Lewishamilton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Prata couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Prata in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osvaldo Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Prata in the 74th minute of play. Túlio de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Amílton Cosme rounded Lewishamilton's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. After 84 minutes, Antônio de Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lewishamilton and the Piauí Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lewishamilton getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Rômulo Ribeiro hit a great ball. David Prata might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Prata ran back to his position shaking his head. Rômulo Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Osvaldo Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lewishamilton. Osvaldo Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Lewishamilton players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
