In the 10th minute Tony Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabinho Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Rubinho Madureira advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Rubinho Madureira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rubinho Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Xavier having to interfere. Rubinho Madureira hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. A collision led to PEREBAS FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Virgílio Branco hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Tony Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabinho Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubinho Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Generais IRANIANOS's Aníbal Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Alagoano in the 33rd minute of play forced PEREBAS FC's goalkeeper Fabinho Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in PEREBAS FC's zone, Tony Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho Xavier came out of the goal and Tony Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rubinho Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubinho Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Xavier having to interfere. Generais IRANIANOS's Leandro Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu Garcia in the 40th minute of play. After 44 played minutes, PEREBAS FC's João Mattos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leandro Ribeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PEREBAS FC reached it. Leandro Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Diniz in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

51 minutes into the match, PEREBAS FC's goalkeeper Fabinho Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubinho Madureira. Generais IRANIANOS's Leandro Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Diniz in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, José Maria Paraibano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PEREBAS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Generais IRANIANOS the free kick. Generais IRANIANOS made a substitution. Luís Guilherme Montenegro replaced Ronaldinho Senna. In the 65th minute, Romeu Garcia made a precise shot to the right of Leandro Ribeiro. Generais IRANIANOS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After having played for 73 minutes, Rubinho Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Generais IRANIANOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubinho Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Generais IRANIANOS's Rubinho Madureira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabinho Xavier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rubinho Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Xavier having to interfere. When Rubinho Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Generais IRANIANOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubinho Madureira couldn't finish the play. Fabinho Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Madureira in the 91st minute of the match. Tony Alagoano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Generais IRANIANOS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 93 played minutes PEREBAS FC got a freekick which was hit by Romeu Garcia. When the referee blew the final whistle, PEREBAS FC could leave the field as winners, despite Generais IRANIANOS having more of the ball for most of the match.
