Carolitas do Terror's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Pinheiro in the 8th minute of play forced Carolitas do Terror's goalkeeper Juninho Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes, Luiz Paulo Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carolitas do Terror and the Acotea SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Acotea SS a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gualter da Costa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Carolitas do Terror's Juninho Quirino. 0-2. If Humberto Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Humberto Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Cléber Pires notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Acotea SS's Tostão Matorin. Tostão Matorin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ronaldo Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juninho Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandinho Coutinho went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. David Santos hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Humberto Pinheiro scored 1-4 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juninho Quirino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Humberto Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Quirino having to interfere. Gualter da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Juninho Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Acotea SS were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Pinheiro made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Humberto Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acotea SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 53 played minutes Carolitas do Terror got a freekick which was hit by Paulinho Soeiro. The crowd rose to their feet as Acotea SS's Humberto Pinheiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juninho Quirino. That made the score 1-5 after 54 minutes of play. Tostão Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Juninho Quirino made a huge save. Tostão Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Juninho Quirino made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Humberto Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. Tostão Matorin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinei Pinho went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. After 73 played minutes Acotea SS got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Valadares. Juninho Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Acotea SS defense, Claudinei Pinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tostão Matorin. The Acotea SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tostão Matorin should have stopped the shot. Humberto Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Juninho Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Acotea SS getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Gualter da Costa hit a great ball. If David Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo Medeiros was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 90th minute, one of Carolitas do Terror:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Carolitas do Terror. Acotea SS played a much better game than Carolitas do Terror and deserved their victory. The Carolitas do Terror players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
