Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Afonso Bessa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Villa Sinhá SC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Cesinha Tavares hit a great ball. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa Sinhá SC's goalkeeper Jonas Vasconcelos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernando Assis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jonas Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Luiz Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Branco in the 20th minute of the match. Reginaldo Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giovanni Valadares took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sílvio Luiz Cruz. Sílvio Luiz Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Valadares in the 30th minute of play forced Sarapuhy's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Vasconcelos having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Afonso Bessa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Villa Sinhá SC's Jonas Vasconcelos. Jonas Vasconcelos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 42 played minutes Villa Sinhá SC got a freekick which was hit by Victor Gomes. In the 45th minute Reginaldo Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovanni Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Giovanni Valadares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sílvio Luiz Cruz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sílvio Leite was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 59 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the game, one of Sarapuhy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fernando Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Vasconcelos having to interfere. Jonas Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar do Nascimento in the 69th minute of play. Fernando Assis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jonas Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reginaldo Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Fernando Assis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sarapuhy booed when Villa Sinhá SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Sarapuhy lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
