After a rather tough play, Giovani EC's Américo Vinhas got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Luciano Ciceron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Faustino having to interfere. Luciano Ciceron charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Ciceron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luciano Ciceron hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Vitinho Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Freitas in the 13th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Giovani EC's goalkeeper Vitinho Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eliseu Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Túlio Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitinho Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Bactéria F. C. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Norberto Prata hit a great ball. Vitinho Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Freitas in the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Bactéria F. C.'s Caetano Faustino got control of the ball when Luciano Ciceron tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute Jardel Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Faustino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Pedro Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Jardel Botelho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Giovani EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Luciano Ciceron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Ciceron in the 55th minute of play forced Bactéria F. C.'s goalkeeper Caetano Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Giovani EC booed when Bactéria F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcelinho Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Botelho struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Caetano Faustino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giovani EC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luciano Ciceron in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caetano Faustino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luciano Ciceron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Caetano Faustino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bactéria F. C.'s goalkeeper Caetano Faustino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vitinho Costa made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Eliseu Freitas sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes in the game, Eliseu Freitas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vitinho Costa having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
