But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Perez couldn't finish the play. Cícero Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Perez in the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Charles Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Cananea's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Perez came free, but Cícero Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Pirauna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Tróia to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Cananea's Abel da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conrado Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Cananea's Abel da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conrado Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Abel da Rocha fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Nildo Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Martins having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Tróia in the 43rd minute of play forced Cananea's goalkeeper Cícero Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cananea booed when Pirauna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel da Rocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Pirauna's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Aparecido came free, but Conrado Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elivélton Fantini during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Nildo Tróia took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Cícero Martins to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Pirauna booed when Cananea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pirauna's Charles Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charles Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Abel da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conrado Lima was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Nildo Tróia struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Cícero Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pirauna. Abel da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Conrado Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pirauna players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cananea from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
