Capoeirao's Zé Roberto Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Capoeirao from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the game, Germano Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capoeirao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Angico SS the free kick. Germano Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. When Armandinho Dante came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Angico SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armandinho Dante couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the match, Capoeirao's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Eger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armandinho Dante. Mané Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Valadares in the 36th minute of the match. Maurício Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Márcio Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angico SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Adrianinho Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Capoeirao's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Guerra came free, but Zé Roberto Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dito Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Armandinho Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Capoeirao getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Túlio Rosa hit a great ball.
