Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Richard Travassos took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Imburana EC's Adilson Cerezo in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manaus FC's goalie prevented a goal. Edson Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Edson Fernandez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Remo Machado, 1-0. If Edson Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Imburana EC's zone, Gernando de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remo Machado came out of the goal and Gernando de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After taking down the ball on Imburana EC's corner Tomé Brito fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edvaldo Peres quite easily take care of the ball. Gernando de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Remo Machado made a huge save. If Richard Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Dinei do Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imburana EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinei do Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvaldo Peres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Travassos took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edvaldo Peres. Edvaldo Peres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edson Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. Richard Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Edvaldo Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Imburana EC's Richard Travassos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edvaldo Peres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vitório Prata made a great header on Manaus FC's corner, it was just that Imburana EC's Remo Machado managed to reach the ball for a save. When Hortêncio Quadros fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imburana EC's protests and gave Hortêncio Quadros a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Imburana EC got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Quadros. Gernando de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Machado having to interfere. Richard Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gernando de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Imburana EC's Richard Travassos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edvaldo Peres. That made the score 1-2 after 79 minutes of play. In the 83rd minute Edson Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvaldo Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón de Senna in the 85th minute of play. Richard Travassos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvaldo Peres having to make a save. In the 95th minute, Edson Fernandez had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The supporters of Manaus FC booed when Imburana EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Imburana EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
