With a little luck, Percevejo's Juarês Moreira got control of the ball when Oswaldo Soares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rômulo Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rômulo Leite the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Percevejo got a freekick which was hit by Rômulo Leite. Oswaldo Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rômulo Leite was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Rômulo Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Recreio's Benjamin Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oswaldo Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Oswaldo Soares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juarês Moreira. The goal made the score 1-0. If Geovani Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Percevejo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oswaldo Soares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Rafael Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juarês Moreira was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Oswaldo Soares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oswaldo Soares really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. When Oswaldo Soares came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Recreio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oswaldo Soares couldn't finish the play. Juarês Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto Gaúcho came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Percevejo's Rafael Novaes. But to his dismay, Rafael Novaes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The supporters of Recreio booed when Percevejo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Recreio getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Geovani Zanette hit a great ball. Benjamin Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Juarês Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Artur Linhares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Umberto Gaúcho, 2-2. If Benjamin Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Benjamin Bezerra notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Percevejo's Juarês Moreira. Juarês Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benjamin Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês Moreira having to interfere. Oswaldo Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oswaldo Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
