Percevejo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mandrake fc's João Francisco Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Novaes in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Percevejo's zone, Raimundo Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês Moreira came out of the goal and Raimundo Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raimundo Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Borges scored 3-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juarês Moreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raimundo Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Novaes got free with João Francisco Breckenfeld in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute, Rafael Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes in the game, Rafael Novaes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without João Francisco Breckenfeld having to interfere. Mathias Senna was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Nestor Andrade took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juarês Moreira. Juarês Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mandrake fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while Percevejo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
