Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oswaldo Soares started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Oswaldo Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oswaldo Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Emanuel Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Recreio's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas Madureira came free, but Umberto Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Oswaldo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Recreio's supporters rose to their feet, but Oswaldo Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Fantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 played minutes Barra Mansa Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Teixeira. After having played for 51 minutes, Geovani Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recreio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovani Zanette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Recreio's Geovani Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute Jarbas Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Recreio's Benjamin Bezerra was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 60th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Geovani Zanette hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The supporters of Barra Mansa Futebol Clube booed when Recreio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeca Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermínio Guedes's late challenge caught a Recreio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermínio Guedes helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Madureira in the 91st minute of play forced Recreio's goalkeeper Umberto Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jarbas Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 95th minute of the match Hermínio Guedes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hermínio Guedes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Hermínio Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Oswaldo Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Fantini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The Barra Mansa Futebol Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Recreio were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
