Felippe Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Claudinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 8 minutes, Claudinho Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sousas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinho Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Cosme in the 12th minute of play forced Taurus F.C's goalkeeper Róbson Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Claudinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taurus F.C's Róbson Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Salles in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sousas's zone, Roger Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felippe Veloso came out of the goal and Roger Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinho Cosme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Róbson Valladares having to make a save. Taurus F.C's Róbson Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Salles in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Claudinho Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sousas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Róbson Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Salles in the 43rd minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Taurus F.C got a freekick which was hit by Magno Lima. Roger Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Luiz Botelho made a kick off. With a little luck, Taurus F.C's Róbson Valladares got control of the ball when Claudinho Cosme tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Taurus F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Félix to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Taurus F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Claudinho Cosme fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Taurus F.C's Emanuel Félix got a free kick in the 56th minute. When Sousas's Emanuel Salles in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Taurus F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Sousas's Emanuel Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbson Valladares having to interfere. Vito Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 75 minutes into the match, Sousas's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Cosme came free, but Felippe Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Róbson Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Taurus F.C defense, Claudinho Cosme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Róbson Valladares. The Taurus F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Róbson Valladares should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sousas's goalkeeper Felippe Veloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Roger Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Sousas failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
