The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Sousas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Brito to maneuver through the defense. Sousas's Emanuel Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Tangerina's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Salles came free, but Silvério Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Claudinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Kléber Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Claudinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. Carlinhos Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Veloso having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Carlinhos Netto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felippe Veloso was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Silvério Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinho Cosme in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvério Recife prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Carlinhos Netto came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Tangerina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos Netto couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlinhos Netto in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felippe Veloso saved Sousas from getting behind. In the 72nd minute, Emanuel Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute Doriva Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, Tangerina's Doriva Brasil made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felippe Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emanuel Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tangerina had won after a very even match.
