Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Serieme EC's Caio Pontes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Serieme EC booed when Maricoabo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Maricoabo getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Noel Rossi hit a great ball. If Caio Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilson Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Caio Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edson Ferreira was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Noel Rossi's late challenge caught a Serieme EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noel Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. Noel Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Maricoabo's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Pontes came free, but Edson Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Maricoabo got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Cavalcante. If Caio Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caio Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Ferreira having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Jonas Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edson Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Pontes in the 33rd minute of play. Edson Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Waldemar Coelho sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caio Pontes in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edson Ferreira saved Maricoabo from getting behind. Edson Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Ferreira having to interfere. The long shot by Edinho Matos in the 43rd minute really tested Edson Ferreira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nando Salles made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Nando Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maricoabo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilson Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Lenílson Souza made a huge save. Noel Rossi in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lenílson Souza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 63 minutes into the match, Serieme EC's goalkeeper Lenílson Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilson Messias. If Waldemar Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serieme EC's Lenílson Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Serieme EC from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute Nando Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenílson Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edson Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caio Pontes's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Gilson Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Lenílson Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Arthur Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th match minute, Maricoabo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Serieme EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Maricoabo for a fine match.
