Pedrão Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Saldanha might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedrão Gaúcho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Eduardo Saldanha ran back to his position shaking his head. Rubinho Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomás Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Armando Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Diego da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enéas Coelho in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Queiroz saved Saint Sophia CF from getting behind. With his leg Pedrão Gaúcho managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Saint Sophia CF's Rubinho Moreira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 30 minutes into the match, Saint Sophia CF's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Sergipano came free, but Armando Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Saint Sophia CF's Romário Fonseca got a free kick in the 37th minute. José Carlos Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes, FOTITAGAS's Amadeu Maia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armando Queiroz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FOTITAGAS reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

52 minutes into the match, FOTITAGAS's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Vander came free, but Pedrão Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Thomás Vargas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Armando Queiroz. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 57th minute Enéas Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FOTITAGAS's Thomás Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Felipe Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saint Sophia CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Vander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enéas Coelho during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Enéas Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Saint Sophia CF fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Saint Sophia CF's Rubinho Moreira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 96th minute, Rubinho Moreira made a precise shot to the right of Pedrão Gaúcho. FOTITAGAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Saint Sophia CF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FOTITAGAS for a fine match.
