William da Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Belmiro Valladares made a huge save. In the 5th minute, Haroldo Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Romeu Madureira. Paraty F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nilmar Pernambucano hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. A collision led to Paraty F.C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Antônio Damião hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Bateeiro's Vítor Couto tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bruno Faustino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 played minutes Paraty F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Torres. Bruno Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Madureira having to interfere. A collision led to Paraty F.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Daniel Antunes hit a great ball. Belmiro Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gláuber Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Haroldo Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Bruno Faustino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belchior da Cunha in the 42nd minute of play forced Paraty F.C.'s goalkeeper Romeu Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bruno Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bateeiro's goalkeeper Belmiro Valladares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haroldo Cardoso was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Gláuber Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Belmiro Valladares. Bateeiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gláuber Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Bateeiro booed when Paraty F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Bateeiro's Vítor Couto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tostão Paulista during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tostão Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the match Nilmar Pernambucano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Belmiro Valladares skillfully saved the ball. Gláuber Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro Valladares having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Cardoso in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Madureira saved Paraty F.C. from getting behind. Romeu Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Bateeiro's Haroldo Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeu Madureira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeu Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Cardoso in the 82nd minute of the match. Bruno Faustino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeu Madureira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Belmiro Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Torres in the 92nd minute of play forced Bateeiro's goalkeeper Belmiro Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu Madureira came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Bateeiro's Bruno Faustino. But to his dismay, Bruno Faustino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Bateeiro's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
