Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Malhadas FC's Jonathan Quadros started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erasmo Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doriva Vides's late challenge caught a Malhadas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doriva Vides helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Palmeiras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Vides to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Quadros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Márcio Zanette acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nelson da Silva. Agostinho Pirani took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kauan Vander. Kauan Vander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Malhadas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Simão to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Horácio Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelson Faria hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. César das Neves's late challenge caught a Palmeiras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. César das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Palmeiras FC booed when Malhadas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. César das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kauan Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Nunes in the 38th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agostinho Pirani in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kauan Vander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute Erasmo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauan Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Agostinho Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Nunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jonathan Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the game, Palmeiras FC's Erasmo Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kauan Vander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Erasmo Nunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kauan Vander having to make a save. After some careless play in the Malhadas FC defense, Agostinho Pirani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kauan Vander. The Malhadas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kauan Vander should have stopped the shot. Kauan Vander was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erasmo Nunes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 67 minute of play. In the 71st minute, Erasmo Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Erasmo Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Palmeiras FC's zone, Jonathan Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Zanette came out of the goal and Jonathan Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesinha Alcântara hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute Erasmo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauan Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ulysses Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
