After a rather tough play, Golabeira's Raúl Cabral got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 3 minutes, Angelo Aguiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Golabeira and the Estremoz players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Estremoz booed when Golabeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Estremoz's Falcão Tinoco got a free kick in the 5th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Alexsandro Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golabeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexsandro Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabrício Batista struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Arí Valadares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estremoz. Golabeira's Arí Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Batista in the 17th minute of play. Fabrício Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí Valadares having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Angelo Aguiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vivaldo Donato was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Golabeira's Anderson Prata got a free kick in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Golabeira's goalkeeper Arí Valadares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardinho Oliveira. When Alexsandro Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Golabeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexsandro Azevedo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardinho Oliveira got free with Arí Valadares in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vivaldo Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Aguiar in the 42nd minute of play. Vivaldo Donato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexsandro Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Estremoz's zone, Angelo Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Donato came out of the goal and Angelo Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Aguiar was the one to do the kick off. In the 58thth minute of the game Ricardinho Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golabeira's Arí Valadares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arí Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Oliveira in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Batista in the 64th minute of play forced Golabeira's goalkeeper Arí Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexsandro Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Estremoz's Hélder Koehler got a free kick in the 84th minute. Vivaldo Donato made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Alexsandro Azevedo sent off a good shot on target.
