Dudu de Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurinho Corrêa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Baluarte's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Vergílio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baluarte's goalkeeper Maurinho Corrêa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Delvino AD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
