Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Celso Porto kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the match, Santos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gilmar de Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomás de Azevedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerônimo Freire in the 8th minute of play forced Santos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gilmar de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16thth minute of the game Celso Porto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lemos SC's Alberto Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santos Futebol Clube's Gilmar de Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Santos Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute, Gonçalo Sá made a precise shot to the right of Gilmar de Lima. Santos Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Miguel Brasil put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Santos Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Miguel Brasil hit a great ball. Jerônimo Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilmar de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Freire in the 38th minute of play. Jerônimo Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Santos Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Freire came free, but Gilmar de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Cerezo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Alberto Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos Futebol Clube. Santos Futebol Clube's Pedro Luís Ramos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fernando Couto in the 46 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Ramos in the 47th minute of play forced Lemos SC's goalkeeper Alberto Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Brasil hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerônimo Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilmar de Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Sá in the 52nd minute of the match. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Zézinho das Neves with Thomás de Azevedo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Giovanni Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Lemos SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovanni Palmeira couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerônimo Freire during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Santos Futebol Clube booed when Lemos SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos Futebol Clube's Pedro Luís Ramos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zézinho das Neves, made in the 69th minute of the game. A collision led to Lemos SC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Basílio Brasil hit a great ball. Gilmar de Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Palmeira in the 74th minute of the match. Gilmar de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Palmeira in the 76th minute of play. Gilmar de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilmar de Lima came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Lemos SC's Giovanni Palmeira. But to his dismay, Giovanni Palmeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gilmar de Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Sá in the 88th minute of the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Raimundo Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Cerezo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lemos SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
