Bruninho Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Fabrício Ortiz made a huge save. A hard shot 8 in the game by Ciro Paraense from a close distance when the talented Fabrício Ortiz managed to make a qualified save. Flamengo's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, João Augusto Souto took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fabrício Ortiz to make any attempt to save it. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Fabrício Ortiz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ciro Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciro Paraense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabrício Ortiz. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. If Ciro Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Bruninho Quirino notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Flamengo's Fabrício Ortiz. Fabrício Ortiz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ciro Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Ciro Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Flamengo's Percy Maciel got a free kick in the 39th minute. A hard shot 41 in the game by Bruninho Quirino from a close distance when the talented Fabrício Ortiz managed to make a qualified save. Flamengo's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdomiro Corrêa during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Corrêa. 46 minutes into the match, Corrente's Ciro Paraense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabrício Ortiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valdomiro Corrêa was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 47th minute, Valdomiro Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christiano Toscano to strike the kick off in the second half. 65 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Paraense came free, but Fabrício Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabrício Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Quirino in the 68th minute of play. Christiano Toscano struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Chicão dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo. Ciro Paraense might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabrício Ortiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Paraense ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabrício Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Quirino in the 86th minute of play. Ciro Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruninho Quirino struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Fabrício Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corrente. Ciro Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes Corrente got a freekick which was hit by Toninho de Amaral. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Corrente fully deserved thier win.
