Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ruy Tepedino made the kick off and thus started the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glauco Cruz in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nildo Romero saved Chapadinho from getting behind. When Wiliam Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Acorizal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiliam Maciel couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Ruy Tepedino fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Chapadinho's Christian Romero got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Glauco Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Chapadinho booed when Acorizal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Wiliam Maciel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nildo Romero was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Nildo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Wiliam Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Glauco Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nildo Romero. Chapadinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Glauco Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Wiliam Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nildo Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Maciel in the 39th minute of play. Glauco Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Romero having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wiliam Maciel made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Luiz Fábio Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gustavo Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glauco Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nildo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wiliam Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Maranhense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nildo Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Ruy Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo de Azevedo having to interfere. If Glauco Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chapadinho's Nildo Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Chapadinho from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chapadinho's goalkeeper Nildo Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nildo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Maciel in the 79th minute of the match. If Glauco Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Glauco Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Nildo Romero made a huge save. Acorizal FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
